General
How do I Join?
Anyone can join AgricultureBridge.org. Simply click on the ‘join’ button at the top and fill in the appropriate information. Once joined, you can set up a profile page and start networking within the system.
How do I Add Case Studies?
In order to add cases, you must have been given approval to do this by the AgricultureBridge.org team.
What is MyBridge?
MyBridge is where you will find all your information related to your work on AgricultureBridge.org. You will find updates on all the cases you are associated with, all your contacts, all you cases, and, if you are using this within the context of a course, all your course information. MyBridge let’s you administer all this content from one location.
Why Can’t I Access the Research Questions?
If you are having trouble accessing the research questions, you may not be logged in or you may not have the priviledges to do that. Only people approved by the case owner or collaborating professor can assign people to answer the research questions. This has been done in order to ensure that people’s privacy and intellectual property is maintained.
Adding Case Studies
How do I Add a Case Study?
To add a case to AgricultureBridge.org, you need to have practitioner or professorial privileges. To get these privileges, please contact us at help@agriculturebridge.org. We will provide you all the support you need to get your cases up and ready to use.
How do I Add Video to Cases?
AgricultureBridge.org hosts all its videos through third-party video providers. To add a video, go to the resources section and click on the ‘add video’ button. You will then be asked for an embed code. This embed code is provided by services such as YouTube or Vimeo. This means that if you have an original video, you must first upload the video to YouTube or Vimeo which will then provide you with the embed code.
How do I Add Questions?
Once you have your case study uploaded, you can add research questions. Simply click on the ‘questions’ tab in your case study. A button that says ‘add question’ will appear. Click on this button and you can add your question. Please note, that you must have administration privileges for the case in order to add questions.
Using AgricultureBridge.org in Courses
How do I Add a Course?
To add a course, you must have Faculty status within the system. Please contact us at help@agriculturebridge.org to get this status or request Faculty status when joining AgricultureBridge for the first time.
One you have this status, click on ‘MyBridge’ and click on the ‘Courses’ tab. An ‘add course’ button will appear. Click on this button and fill out the fields to add your course. The course will then appear in your ‘Courses’ tab.
How do I Assign Students?
To assign students, you must first add a course to add students to. Once your course is created, go to ‘MyBridge’ and click on the courses tab. Click on the ‘plus’ sign beside the name of your course. This will open up the administration. Click to ‘add students’ button and a window will pop open. Put the emails of all your students in this field and click ‘send’. An email will be sent to the students asking them to sign in to AgricultureBridge. Once signed in, you can start to assign students to questions by click on their name.
Important Note: You must first have case studies chosen in order to add students to the cases and questions.
Using Maps
All the mapping technology that has been implemented in AgricultureBridge.org is from Google Maps.
How do I place a point on the map?
In order to add a point to a map when you are uploading any content, scroll around the map to find the location you want the point associated with. Click on the map and a point will appear. To move it, simply click on the point and drag it to its new location.
How do I place multiple points on a map?
If the content you are uploading is related to multiple points, simply click on the map to create new points. Drag them to the location you want them placed.
